  Christmas on the Shore: A Holiday Wrapped in Sunlight There’s something quietly rebellious about spending Christmas on the beach. While the rest of the world pulls on wool sweaters, warms their hands around mugs of spiced cider, and braces for winter’s bite, you’re standing barefoot in warm sand, with the sun painting everything in gold. The ocean murmurs in the background like an easygoing caroler who only knows one verse but hums it proudly. Christmas ornaments sparkle in palm trees instead of pines. And the only frost you’ll see is the faint mist on the rim of a cold drink pulled from an ice chest. For many people, Christmas is tied tightly to a sense of tradition. Snow. Fireplaces. Cozy nights. A sense of retreat from the cold. I grew up with that version, too. But the first time I celebrated Christmas on the beach, everything I thought I knew about the holiday rearranged itself. My husband is not hidden’ – Ruth Kadiri on keeping her marriage private

Popular Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has finally addressed the rumours of keeping her husband, Mr.  Ezerika, away from the eye of the public. 

In an interview on the Dear Ife podcast by Diary of a Naija Girl, Kadiri clarified that her marriage is private not because of secrecy but because she prefers to avoid drama.

 The wife and mother of two insists that they go to events together and claim that her husband is actively involved in her public life. The actress went on to say that her husband has a preference for keeping a low profile. She expressed confusion over why people expect her to showcase her marriage publicly.

 She stated, "My life is not as private as people think. We go to church together, we attend events together." My husband is always present at the events I organize. 

“For clarity, my husband is not a secret.  People who know me, know him.  And for me, that’s enough.  Like, I don’t know why I will sit down and be thinking, what am I proving?”
