Super Eagles coach gives update on Victor Moses

The Super Eagles coaching staff has provided an update on the fitness of key winger Victor Moses following concerns over his availability for upcoming international matches.

At the time, Nigeria were preparing for important fixtures against top opposition, including Algeria and Argentina, and fans were eager to know whether the Chelsea star would be fit in time.

According to the Super Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf, Victor Moses had picked up an injury that would keep him out of action for approximately two to three weeks.

The injury meant the winger would miss Nigeria’s scheduled matches, including the high-profile clash against Argentina.

Yusuf confirmed that medical assessments showed the injury was not serious in the long term, but it was enough to rule him out temporarily.

Despite Moses’ absence, the coaching crew expressed confidence in the team’s depth and ability to perform without him.

Yusuf insisted that the Super Eagles had enough quality players to cope and still achieve positive results in the upcoming games, even against strong opponents like Argentina.

The coaching staff emphasized team unity and tactical flexibility, suggesting that no single player would define the team’s success.

Victor Moses had been one of Nigeria’s most influential players at the time, contributing significantly in attack and bringing Premier League experience from his time at Chelsea.

His ability to play both as a winger and wing-back made him a key tactical asset for the Super Eagles, especially in high-intensity matches.

Because of this, his injury was seen as a setback, even though the team remained confident.

The situation also highlighted Nigeria’s squad depth heading into major international fixtures.

With Moses sidelined, other attacking players were expected to step up and fill the gap. The coaching crew believed this was an opportunity for other talents to prove themselves on the international stage.

Victor Moses’ injury came as an unfortunate blow to the Super Eagles ahead of important fixtures, but the coaching staff remained calm and optimistic.

While his absence was significant, the team believed they could still compete strongly against top opponents.

The update reflected both concern for a key player and confidence in Nigeria’s growing squad strength.
